The Haq Do Tehreek movement has criticized the disruptive security measures that typically accompany ‘VIP visits’ to Gwadar, asserting that such measures inconvenience and harass local civilians.
In a press release, the movement, known for advocating the rights of Balochistan’s coastal residents, emphasized that VIPs are no different from ordinary citizens and should not be treated preferentially.
The group argued that if authorities are concerned about VIP safety, they should either keep them within secure environments or construct alternative routes for their travel, rather than disrupting public life.
Haq Do Tehreek has urged its supporters to protest whenever VIP movements lead to road closures.
