In Balochistan’s Pasni, women took to the Coastal Highway to protest against QESCO Pasni due to a surge in electricity load shedding and alleged inappropriate language used by the administration during a previous protest.

Initially, the protest occurred in front of the Assistant Commissioner’s office, where protesters expressed their dissatisfaction with the increased frequency of power outages. According to the protestors, the duration of load shedding has extended from eight to thirteen hours and has significantly disrupted the daily lives of residents of Pasni.

The situation escalated when, during the initial protest outside the Assistant Commissioner’s office, the administration allegedly addressed the demonstrators with inappropriate language. This action incited the women to extend their protest by blocking the Coastal Highway. The blockade resulted in long lines of stranded vehicles, disrupting the vital transportation link between Makuran and Karachi.
