Several installations of the Pakistani security forces and a cellular tower were attacked in the Kech district of Balochistan by Baloch “pro-independence” groups.
According to details, the Pakistani security forces’ main camp was attacked by unidentified gunmen in the Hoshab area of Kech on Wednesday night.
Sources said that several explosions and gunfire were heard in the area. Soon after the attack, several motor shells were fired on a nearby population, allegedly from the camp.
However, the attack was not confirmed or denied by Pakistani officials yet.
Baloch armed group, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement on Wednesday. The group said that at least four enemies were killed and several were injured in the fifteen-minute-long battle.
BLA spokesman said that BLA fighters shot down a surveillance drone, and a security post of the Pakistani military was also destroyed in the attack.
Similarly, another Baloch armed group, Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), accepts responsibility for targeting a Pakistani military post and destroying a communication tower in the Tump area of the Kech district.
The group spokesperson said that one enemy personnel was killed and two others were wounded in the attack on the forces checkpost located in the Asiyabad area of Tump.
