First coronavirus vaccination in Balochistan is going to start from Wednesday (today) at CM’s secretariat, officials announced.

According to Balochistan government’s spokesman Liaquat Shahwani, that Balochistan govt has received five thousand doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

Mr Shahwan announcing the news on Twitter said: In the first phase, over 22,000 doctors, paramedics, and nurses would be vaccinated.

“First priority is to vaccinate frontline workers,” he added.

Pakistan is receiving the first corona vaccine from China. The Shipment arrived to Pakistan on Monday. Pakistan’s health minister Faisal Sultan said the shipment was first batch of half a million vaccines that have been donated by China.

Vaccine’s arrival has raised questions among civilians and analysts in the country about the efficacy and side effects of the vaccine.

The vaccines made in China, are still in phase 3 trial and the final results are awaited, but the vaccine has already been distributed to several countries.

Countries like Peru stopped the clinical trials of the Chinese vaccine after a patient suffered paralysis as a result of it. While Brazilian authorities in January had confirmed that the Chinese vaccine is only 50.4% effective.
