A man released allegedly from detention of Pakistan Army in critical condition four days ago lost his life in Karachi on Saturday.
According to reports, Hameed s/o Anwar was allegedly abducted by the Pakistan army during a raid on his hometown in Balgatar on August 25 this year and was shifted to unknown locations.
While talking to TBP, one of his close relatives said that he was released four days ago in critical condition. “There were cigarette burns and other torture marks found on his body and due to his critical health condition he was shifted to a hospital in Karachi,” he said.
“Due to severe torture he couldn’t recover and died in hospital. We were threatened by unknown numbers not to take pictures of his dead body” he further said.
His relative said that Mr. Hameed was abducted twice, once he was detained by the Pakistan Army during a military operation in Balgathar on March 14, 2019, he was later released after two days of torture.
While confirming the incident, Baloch National Movement’s information secretary, Dil Murad Baloch said in a tweet that Hameed, a resident of Ahuri Balgathar, had gone missing twice but lost his life due to severe torture for the second time.
