British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced via Twitter that he is infected with the corona virus.

According to details, Johnson has mild symptoms and will be quarantined at home. From there he wants to continue leading the government in the fight against the virus, he says.

“Ihave developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus, a low-grade fever and a cough. On the advice of my medical advisor, I did a test, which is positive, ” says Johnson in a video message on twitter. “The marvel of modern technology allows me to stay in touch with my top team to lead the national fight against the corona virus.”

The test was conducted at 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister, after showing mild symptoms of Covid-19 yesterday. It is still unclear how many cabinet ministers and servants need to be isolated, as they have been in contact with Johnson in recent weeks and days.

British Health Minister Matt Hancock also said he tested positive for the virus. He also has mild symptoms of the disease and will remain in home quarantine.

In total, 578 people have already died from the virus in the UK, and there are more than 11,600 confirmed infections. Earlier this week, it also became known that 71-year-old British Prince Charles is infected with the corona virus, he also has mild symptoms and remains at home in quarantine.
