Military operation in Awaran district of Balochistan is continued for the fourth day.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani forces have launched operations and raids in Awaran district of Balochistan for last three days.

The offensive entered its fourth day on Thursday and is still continued.

“Pakistani forces have cordoned off the Dharman Bhent, Wadi-e-Azad, Chahgardi, Thoshtari, Jhakro, Soren and Chakkul areas of the district. Whereas, during the operation house to house search and aerial shelling in mountains continue”, locals said.

In another news, according to local sources, gunship helicopters are allegedly shelling on Bazi, Marmasi, Kapor, Kalaid and Zang areas of Mashkay town of district Awaran.

The whole area has also been cordoned off, making it difficult to ascertain the losses to life and property.

Mashkay is the hometown of medical doctor turned armed leader of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Dr. Allah Nazar. The town is considered one of the most volatile areas in Balochistan, where skirmishes between Baloch armed groups and Pakistani military are routine.
