The top commander of Baloch Liberation Army, Aslam Baloch, has said that Baloch reserve all the rights to show extreme resistance to China.
In a statement released to media, BLA’s Aslam Baloch said that if China for its petty interests can help Pakistan ‘shed the blood’ of innocent Baloch civilians, then ‘we as a nation cannot be unwary of our responsibilities to achieve Balochistan’s independence and protect its resources and people’.
Aslam Baloch’s strong-worded statement comes only a day after his son, Rehan Baloch, carried out a ‘suicide attack’ on a bus carrying Chinese engineers in Dalbandeen, in which, as per hospital sources, four including three Chinese nationals had died.
Aslam Baloch warned China that if it ‘continues to pursue its exploitative and expansionist designs in Balochistan, then it will have to pay even a higher price’.
He added: ‘China must understand that Baloch youth will never compromise on their national identity and sovereignty of Baloch motherland. Baloch youth are the true owners of Balochistan and they will not tolerate anyone to meddle in Baloch affairs, without Baloch nation’s consent.’
He revealed that ‘scores of Baloch fidayeens (suicide attackers)’ are prepared to carry out attacks. ‘My elder son Rehan Baloch was also one of the fidayeens and when the names for selection were presented to me, I chose Rehan to carry out the attack on Chinese engineers. BLA’s Command Council also agreed with my decision,’ BLA’s top commander added.
He added: ‘The enemies of Baloch nation must understand that Baloch fidayeens will continue to intensify attacks for the defence of Baloch motherland’.
It is pertinent to mention that after yesterday’s attack, government of China had activated the ’emergency response mechanism’.
The official statement from Government of People’s Republic of China said that it strongly condemns the violent attack in Balochistan and expresses sympathy with the victims.
