Awaran has now remained under military siege for the third consecutive day, tens of houses have been burnt and hundreds including women and children have gone missing, reports coming from the region suggest.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistan army continues to ‘wreak havoc’ for the third day in Awaran district of Balochistan, many people have been missing since the commencement of the operation.
Earlier reports had claimed that Pakistan army gave an ultimatum to the people of different villages to leave the area within two days. Most of the people of Laindki, Teertij, Nailtaki, Bazdad and Daraski village were shifted to army camps forcefully; others remain internally displaced.
On the third day, Pakistani forces lay siege around the Zeelag village of Awaran, and reportedly tens of people have been picked up from the village and shifted to undisclosed areas.
Baloch nationalist parties have condemned the actions of Pakistan army, and a Baloch rebel leader, Dr. Allah Nazar, has urged the international organizations to take action against ‘heinous crimes against humanity’ in Balochistan.
