Baloch National Movement (BNM), in a released statement, has thanked Metropolitan Police UK for foiling attempt of Pakistani goons to sabotage Baloch and Sindhi peaceful demonstration in London on Wednesday.

Baloch Sindhi Forum demonstrated at 10 Downing Street on the occasion of Commonwealth’s meetings of heads of its member countries on 18th April, in which BNM, BSO-AZAD, BHRC and World Sindhi Congress jointly participated.

Baloch National Movement’s Central spokesperson said in the statement that the purpose of Wednesday’s demonstration was to highlight extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and exploitation of resources and, discrimination against minorities at the hands of Pakistani forces in Balochistan and Sindh. The protestors also recorded opposition against the China funded multi-billion dollar project CPEC, which is being constructed against the will of Baloch and Sindhi nations.

China claims the CPEC is solely for developmental purposes, however, political forces and intellectuals believe this is a tool to increase China’s dominance in the region for military purposes.

BNM said in the statement that state security forces have abducted thousands of Baloch and Sindhis, and extrajudicially killed them. Religious minorities are also being executed in a similar fashion to strengthen the religious extremist groups that are being used as state proxies. Hazaras, Hindus and Christians are the most vulnerable religious sects and minorities that have suffered the burnt of religious extremism at the hands of state sponsored religious terrorist groups.

BNM spokesman added that attacks on church and Christians at Quetta are the recent examples of state sponsored terrorism.

The spokesman informed that a memorandum was presented to the British Prime Minister, in which BNM was represented by Hammal Haider, the foreign Secretary of BNM, BSO-AZAD was represented by Naiz Baloch, Abdullah Baloch was present on behalf of the Raji Zarumbish, World Sindhi Congress by Lakku Lohana and BHRC was represented by Ghulam Hussain Baloch.

The BNM statement added that: ‘Pakistani goons tried to sabotage the peaceful demonstration of Baloch and Sindhi Forum, but the London Police foiled their attempt.’

BNM spokesman strongly condemned the act of such lowdown approach of Pakistani state, which shows to what extent Pakistan is fearful of Baloch struggle. ‘We thank the UK police for foiling the attempt of Pakistani backed goons to sabotage the peaceful demonstration of Baloch and Sindhi Forum,’ BNM spokesman said.

The BNM statement further read that Pakistan is exploiting our resources without the consent of Baloch and Sindhi people by working on CPEC project. In fact Baloch nation from the day first has resisted their occupation by Pakistan, and has continuously strived to send the world a clear message that they would not accept the forcible accession with Pakistan. Hence, Pakistan in order to maintain it hegemony has started the genocide of Baloch people in Balochistan; where today the war crimes of Pakistan Army and its other security forces has culminated to its apogee.

‘In order to hide its war crimes and genocide, Pakistan has imposed a complete Media ban in Balochistan; local journalists are either threatened or bribed to keep a blind eye on Balochistan issue, whereas international media is not allowed to report on Balochistan, BNM spokesman said.

The spokesman added that it is with regret and shock that the silence of human rights organisations and United Nations has provided Pakistan an impetus to escalate Baloch genocide with full impunity.
