The body of a young man who was allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces more than a month ago has been recovered in Balochistan’s Kech district, while two farmers have been reported missing in a separate incident and two previously disappeared men have returned home in Nushki.

According to local sources, the body was recovered in Mand on Wednesday and identified as Hussain, son of Jumma, who was allegedly detained by Pakistani forces from the Aazian area of Tump on September 3.

His family said Pakistani forces detained Hussain along with two other men, Zubair Baloch, son of Karim Dad, and Kambar Baloch, son of Nazar, and took all three to an undisclosed location.

More than a month later, Hussain’s body was recovered. His family alleged that he had been killed and his body dumped, while the whereabouts of Zubair and Kambar remain unknown.

Local sources said the two missing men belong to the same family and are residents of Tump.

In a separate incident in Kech district, two brothers were allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from the Balgathar Loap area on October 9.

The men were identified as Abdul Ghani, 30, and Abdul Ghaffar, 28, both sons of Hussain and farmers by profession. According to sources, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel detained them from their homes and took them to an undisclosed location. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Abdul Ghani and Abdul Ghaffar

Meanwhile, two men who were allegedly forcibly disappeared from Killi Batto in Nushki district on October 9 returned home on Wednesday, October 14.

The men were identified as Shay Mureed Jamaldini, son of Ahmed Nawaz, and Murtaza Jamaldini, son of Dura Khan.

Murtaza, a 29-year-old lawyer, was reportedly detained by FC personnel from his home at around 9:30 a.m. on October 9. The circumstances surrounding the two men’s detention and return remain unclear.

The developments come as the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) continued its protest against enforced disappearances outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,388th day on Wednesday.

People from different walks of life visited the camp and expressed solidarity with families of missing persons, calling for an end to enforced disappearances and other alleged unlawful practices.

Speaking at the camp, VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch said the organisation’s longstanding, peaceful and constitutional struggle was aimed at ending enforced disappearances and securing the return of all missing persons.

He urged the government to take immediate measures under the Constitution and the law to address enforced disappearances and ensure the safe recovery of those still missing.

In its six-month human rights report covering January to June 2026, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) documented 507 alleged enforced disappearances and 150 civilian killings, including 15 minors.

The organisation said at least 48 people had been victims of what it described as the “kill-and-dump” practice, in which individuals are allegedly forcibly disappeared and later found dead, often bearing signs of torture.

According to the report, 303 people remained missing, while 150 had been released, including some detained prior to the reporting period, and the status of 22 others could not be verified. The BYC also alleged that 32 missing persons had been killed in custody and their bodies subsequently dumped in different locations.
