A protest camp organized by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,335th consecutive day.

Speaking at the camp, VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said enforced disappearances had continued in Balochistan for a prolonged period, leaving families of missing persons facing severe distress, suffering and psychological pressure.

He said families had pursued various peaceful means, including protests and legal efforts, for years to secure the recovery of their loved ones. However, despite their prolonged efforts, many missing persons had yet to be recovered, while their families had not received clear information about their whereabouts.

Nasrullah Baloch said the VBMP’s longstanding peaceful and democratic campaign aims to secure the recovery of missing persons, end enforced disappearances and protect the fundamental and legal rights of every citizen. He called for all missing persons to be recovered immediately and said that if any person is facing a case or allegation, they should be brought before a court in accordance with the law.

He further said enforced disappearance affects not only the individual concerned but also places an entire family under prolonged suffering. He called on state institutions and relevant authorities to act in accordance with the law, provide families with information about their missing loved ones and take effective measures to resolve the issue permanently.
