At least five women, including a mother and her daughter, have been killed in three separate shooting incidents in Noshki, Qila Abdullah and Naseerabad districts of Balochistan, according to police and local sources.
Two women, a mother and her daughter, were shot dead by unidentified assailants who broke into their home in the Killi Mengal area of Noshki late on Wednesday night, police said.
The deceased were identified as Bibi Hanifa, wife of Ali Ahmed Mohammad Hasani, and her daughter, Hafsa.
Police sources said the attackers forced their way into the house before opening fire on the two women. The motive for the killings has not yet been established, and no arrests have been reported.
In a separate incident in Qila Abdullah district, two women were killed and a father and his daughter were injured when armed men opened fire on a vehicle carrying a family from Karachi in the Saigi area, police said.
The family had travelled to Tehsil Gulistan for business purposes and had arrived in the area two days earlier. According to initial reports, the vehicle was targeted after it allegedly failed to stop.
The two women died at the scene, while the injured father and daughter were shifted to the Trauma Centre in Quetta in critical condition. The bodies were taken to Abdul Rahmanzai Hospital.
Sources said the Saigi area is considered dangerous for civilian movement due to ongoing tribal disputes, while police access to the area is reportedly difficult.
Police said no First Information Report (FIR) had been registered and no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
Separately, a woman was shot dead in the Dera Murad Jamali area of Naseerabad district. However, Further details, including the circumstances surrounding the killing and the identity of the victim, were not immediately available.
