At least three people were killed in two separate shooting incidents in Balochistan on Monday, police and local sources said.
Unidentified armed men opened fire at Tariq Chowk in Noshki district, killing two men identified as Tariq Badini and Ahmed, police said.
The attackers fled the scene, while the motive for the shooting was not immediately clear. No group claimed responsibility, and police said an investigation had been launched.
In another incident, Ghaffar Mengal, brother of Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Lala Arif Mengal, was shot dead on Quetta’s Western Bypass. Authorities had not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the attack.
Following the killing, relatives placed Ghaffar Mengal’s body on the Western Bypass and blocked the road in protest, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible. The blockade disrupted traffic for several hours.
No arrests had been reported in either case at the time of publication, while authorities said investigations into both incidents were ongoing.
