National Democratic Movement chairman Mohsin Dawar has warned Pashtun nationalist activists against efforts to create divisions between Baloch and Pashtuns, calling such attempts a “colonial tactic”.
Dawar, a former member of the National Assembly from North Waziristan, said attempts to fuel hostility between the two nations were not new, but were being presented in a new form.
He said nationalist political workers should remain alert and not become part of such narratives, whether consciously or unconsciously.
“Pashtun nationalist activists should not consciously or unconsciously fall victim to these hatreds,” Dawar said, adding that fuelling such divisions would only strengthen what he described as a system of oppression and exploitation.
