Two brothers from the Fazil Pur area of Basti Lashari in Dera Ghazi Khan have reportedly been killed in what their family has described as a staged police encounter.

The deceased were identified as Sajjad Lashari, son of Mohammad Hussain, and Sajid Lashari, son of Mohammad Hussain.

According to local sources, the two men were taken into custody in Islamabad approximately four days ago. Family members allege that unidentified personnel detained them but did not officially acknowledge their arrest.

Reports later emerged that the brothers had been killed in an alleged police encounter in Lahore on Monday.

Relatives of the deceased have rejected the official account of the incident, describing it as a “fake encounter” and calling for an independent and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

No official statement from the relevant authorities had been released at the time of reporting.
