Four individuals, including senior officials from University of Gwadar, were reportedly abducted in the Mastung district of Balochistan, according to local and official sources.

Sources stated that the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro Vice Chancellor Syed Manzoor Ahmed, lecturer Shakeel Ahmed and their driver were taken by unidentified armed men on Tuesday evening in the Khadkucha area of Mastung.

According to reports, armed men travelling on motorcycles had set up a road blockade in the area. The vehicle carrying the four men was reportedly stopped before the occupants were taken to an undisclosed location.

A government official confirmed the incident and said that security forces and district authorities had launched a search operation aimed at recovering the abducted individuals.

The motive behind the abductions has not been ascertained yet.
