At least three people, including two Afghan nationals, were killed and 18 others injured in a traffic accident in Balochistan on Thursday night, police and local officials said.
According to reports, the incident occurred on a road linked to the Reko Diq Project after a collision involving three speeding vehicles.
Authorities said the injured included Afghan women and children who were travelling towards the Iranian border and were believed to be attempting an unauthorised crossing.
Five of the injured were in critical condition and were shifted to a civil hospital in Quetta for treatment, officials said.
Police said an investigation into the circumstances of the accident was under way.
