A man has reportedly gone missing in Balochistan’s Harnai district after being taken into custody by security forces, while another previously missing person has returned home in Turbat.
According to family members, Raz Mohammad Marri, son of Shah Mir Marri and a resident of Jhalari in Bolan district, was in Harnai on 6 August 2025 for personal reasons when he was allegedly detained by security personnel. His whereabouts remain unknown.
Enforced disappearances have long been a source of concern in Balochistan, with human rights activists and organisations calling for an end to the practice. Despite years of campaigning, rights groups say no effective solution has been implemented.
In a separate development, Nauman, son of Rafiq, who had reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearance in Turbat several months ago, has been released and returned to his family, according to local sources.
Officials have not commented on either case.
