A fresh wave of violence across multiple districts of Balochistan has left at least six people dead – including a woman – and three others injured, while authorities also recovered an unidentified handcuffed body in Khuzdar.
In Khuzdar district’s Wadh tehsil, two people, including a woman, were killed in a shooting incident. The local administration has registered a case and initiated an investigation.
In another incident in Khuzdar’s Pir Ibrahim area, unknown assailants opened fire, killing two individuals identified as Gulzar Sasoli and Hamid Bhootani. The attackers fled the scene.
Meanwhile, in Mastung’s Sangar area, armed men shot and killed Munir Ahmed s/o Khuda Bakhsh. Levies personnel shifted the body to a hospital and handed it over to the family after completing legal formalities.
In Panjgur’s Gharibabad area, a police head constable sustained serious injuries in a targeted attack by armed individuals.
In Qila Abdullah, two brothers – Ismatullah Khan and Shamsullah Khan, both siblings of Inayatullah Achakzai, the provincial deputy secretary of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party – were injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on them. The attackers managed to flee.
Separately, in Khuzdar’s Zehri tehsil, a handcuffed body of an unidentified man was recovered near the Noorgamma Gateway area. The Levies forces transported the body to a hospital, but no identification has been made so far.
In a separate non-violent incident, a suicide was reported in Ward No. 1 of Pasni’s Baburshor area, where a man took his own life. Police shifted the body to the Rural Health Centre. His identity remains unknown at the time of reporting.
