According to reports, three bodies were recovered in separate incidents in Panjgur and Khuzdar districts, while a student from the University of Karachi has reportedly been forcibly disappeared in Turbat.

In Panjgur, the body of a man identified as Zafarullah, son of Ismail and resident of Tasp, was discovered in the Rakshan seasonal stream, located between Bonistan and Tasp. According to family sources, Zafarullah had been missing since 4 June. His body was found days later, raising suspicions of foul play, though no official cause of death has yet been confirmed.

In a separate incident, two unidentified bodies were recovered from the Gresha and Rangu areas of Khuzdar district. Local sources reported that both victims appeared to have been shot dead. The motives behind the killings remain unknown.

Meanwhile, in Turbat, Kech district, reports have emerged of the enforced disappearance of a student from the University of Karachi. According to local sources, Pakistani security forces detained Uzair Saleem, son of Saleem Essa, from the Zor Bazar area of Turbat. He has since gone missing. Uzair was visiting his hometown during the university’s break when he was reportedly taken into custody.

Human rights organisations and activists have long raised alarms over the persistent crisis of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Students, teachers, journalists, and political workers are frequently among those targeted, with many abducted without any formal charges or legal proceedings.

Despite repeated assurances by the authorities, the security situation in Balochistan remains dire. Local residents and civil society actors argue that the government’s control over the region is virtually non-existent in several areas, contrary to official claims of stability.
