Mobile and internet services have been suspended in Balochistan’s Mach and Sibi, disrupting daily life and business activities across the region.
Residents in Mach reported losing network coverage on Tuesday morning, leaving them unable to make calls or access the internet. Many described the outage as a significant obstacle to routine activities.
The suspension coincided with a rally organized by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) in Mach, held in preparation for “Baloch Genocide Memorial Day” on 25 January. Despite the communication blackout, attendees, including prominent activist Dr. Mahrang Baloch, participated in the event.
Meanwhile, in Sibi, residents have faced similar challenges, with internet services reportedly suspended for more than a week. Many residents expressed frustration over the prolonged disruption, citing its impact on communication, education, and work.
Similar disruptions were previously reported in the Ahmedwal area of Nushki and surrounding regions, where internet services were also suspended.
Authorities have yet to provide an explanation for the ongoing outages in Mach, Sibi, or Ahmedwal.
