The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), a ‘pro-independence’ armed group, has claimed responsibility for an attack targeting Pakistani forces in the Jaffarabad district’s Dera Allah Yar.
In a statement issued to the media, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group’s fighters detonated a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) near the Fish Market area late on Thursday night.
The explosion reportedly killed two military personnel who were patrolling the area, according to the statement.
There has been no official statement from Pakistani authorities regarding the attack at the time of this report.
