The forced eviction of Baloch communities from their homes is part of a genocidal conspiracy — Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stated that the international community must take notice.
In a statement, the BYC expressed that the forced eviction of residents from their homes and lands in the Mehr area of Mand, district Kech, is a means of state-sponsored Baloch genocide. Pakistani forces are seizing local lands under the pretext of security and establishing military camps, resulting in the forced displacement of the local population from their ancestral homes and forcing them into the life of refugees.
The BYC stated that by displacing the residents of Mehr Mand from their ancestral homes, their lives and properties are being put at risk, which constitutes a grave violation of basic human rights.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee has appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of these illegal actions and human rights violations occurring in Balochistan against the local population.
