Baloch “pro-independence” leader Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch has condemned the recent attack in Balochistan’s Mastung, where schoolchildren were reportedly killed in an IED explosion.

In a statement, Dr. Baloch expressed sorrow, describing the attack as a “cowardly act of terror” and a “heinous crime against humanity.”

“This horrific incident forces us to confront the uncivilized, savage nature of an enemy that does not even spare our children,” he stated, adding that the attack was a severe violation of human rights.

Dr. Baloch alleged that such attacks are tactics used by the Pakistani state to suppress the Baloch independence movement. He claimed, “whether under the guise of religious extremism or otherwise, Pakistan’s involvement in these incidents is direct.”

He added that incidents like the Mastung attack highlight the “ongoing suffering of the Baloch people” and reflect decades of “oppression, violence, and blatant human rights abuses.”

The Baloch leader cited enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and “collective punishment” as tactics allegedly used by the Pakistani state to instill “an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in Balochistan.”

He described how “thousands of families, victims of these oppressive tactics, are forced to live on streets and in protest camps, begging for the lives of their loved ones,” and noted that these families present an unforgettable image of the suffering inflicted on the Baloch people, touching every human conscience.

Dr. Baloch also criticized Pakistan’s alleged policy of using religious extremism as a tool to divide the Baloch people and dismantle their resistance, emphasizing that the Baloch people have shown resilience and determination in their struggle for freedom.

He commended the sacrifices of women, children, and youth who have laid down their lives, calling them an inspiration to the nation’s resistance. “The sacrifices of Baloch martyrs are a testament to our resolve, strengthening our determination with each life lost,” he added, asserting that “the oppressive state’s tactics have failed.”

The Baloch leader extended condolences to the families affected by the Mastung attack. “While words cannot compensate for their loss, I convey my deepest solidarity and pray for the swift recovery of the injured,” he said.

Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch also called on the international community to take “serious notice of the ongoing state repression and violence in Balochistan” and urged support for the Baloch people’s “struggle for freedom” and recognition of their “right to self-determination.”
