The crisis of enforced disappearances in Balochistan remains a significant issue, casting a dark shadow over the region. Families live in constant fear, not knowing whether their loved ones will return. People from all walks of life—students, activists, journalists, and ordinary citizens—have been abducted, leaving deep scars on the social fabric of Balochistan.

Baloch nationalists and human rights groups accuse Pakistani intelligence agencies and security forces of orchestrating these abductions and extrajudicial killings. The Pakistani government denies these allegations, but the evidence presented by these groups paints a different and troubling picture.

In September 2024, 44 people were reported as forcibly disappeared in Balochistan. Seven bodies were recovered, many still unidentified. Nineteen individuals were released after being detained. The ongoing cycle of abductions, deaths, and disappearances continues to fuel fear across the region.
