Two individuals have reportedly gone missing from Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan.
According to reports, Pakistani forces have allegedly forcibly detained two brothers, Khuda Raheem Marri and Khuda-e-Dost Marri, sons of Barkhan Marri, residents of Les Daghari. Reports indicate that Khuda-e-Dost was detained in April, while Khuda Raheem was forcibly detained in May 2024. Both victims are coal mine workers.
It should be noted that more than 55,000 people are missing across Balochistan, with many cases of enforced disappearances going unreported or not reported on time due to the lack of communication in remote areas.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee has been holding rallies and demonstrations across Balochistan for the past two weeks, demanding the recovery of Baloch missing persons and an end to the killing of those forcibly disappeared in fake encounters.
