Authorities in Quetta have confirmed that three rockets were fired at Ayub stadium, also known as Nawab Akbar Khan Stadium, during Pakistan’s “Independence Day” celebrations on Tuesday night.
According to police reports, the rockets were launched from unidentified locations. One rocket landed in the stadium’s parking area, while the other two fell nearby. Authorities reported that no casualties were caused by the attack.
The incident occurred amid a series of explosions earlier in the day at various locations across Quetta, including stalls selling flags for Pakistan’s “Independence Day.” The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for two of those explosions.
