The Balochistan government has launched an investigation into alleged irregularities in the cluster budget allocated to schools by the education department.
The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) has begun examining the funds provided to schools across all divisions of Balochistan. According to CMIT officials, the education department allocates a cluster budget for school repairs. However, complaints of embezzlement have prompted the government to take action.
To conduct the investigation, a three-member committee has been formed for each division to review the use of the cluster budget. CMIT officials will compile their reports after inspecting schools in every division.
These reports will be presented to the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Minister of Education. Based on the findings, action may be taken against officers involved in the misappropriation of funds.
