In a tragic incident that unfolded in Balochistan’s Bolan district, a man, in collaboration with his accomplices, killed his 12-year-old daughter in the name of honor. The grim event comes at the heels of a similar incident in Balochistan’s Usta Muhammad where a husband murdered his wife under the same pretext.
The incident occurred in the Geshtari area of Bolan. The father, identified as Hasil Khan, leveled accusations of ‘siyah kari’ — a colloquial term that translates to “black deed” and is often associated with adultery — against his minor daughter. Hasil Khan conspired with his associates to end his daughter’s life.
The young girl’s name remains unverified.
According to local law enforcement, Khan also targeted a young boy named Rab Nawaz, presumably the alleged partner in the forbidden relationship with the 12-year-old. The police intervened and saved Rab Nawaz’s life.
The police reportedly discovered visible wounds and marks on the young boy’s neck. The police have launched an investigation to uncover the full extent of the crime and identify all involved parties.
A similar also unfolded in Usta Muhammad where a man fatally shot his wife, Musamma Abida BiBi. The culprit, Abdul Rehman Rind, enlisted the aid of his brothers in this heinous act before fleeing the scene.
The incident unfolded in the Ghoth Shahnawaz Rind. Law enforcement promptly secured the victim’s body for post-mortem examination and initiated a search for the perpetrators.
The Balochistan Post has so far documented nearly a dozen honor killings in the first half of 2024. While the majority of victims are women and young girls, this trend occasionally claims the lives of men and boys, as exemplified by Rab Nawaz, who narrowly escaped a grim fate due to timely police intervention.
