A young man committed suicide in the Wadh tehsil of Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Sunday.

According to reports, Muhammad Qasim, son of Abdul Kareem, took his own life in the Palli Maas area of Wadh. However, the motives behind the incident are yet to be ascertained.

It is worth noting that this is the second incident of suicide in Wadh in the last two days. Previously, a youth named Nazir Ahmed reportedly ended his life due to constant pressure from Pakistani forces. Nazir Ahmed used to participate in sit-in protests in Islamabad held by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) for the Balach who was allegedly killed in Counter Terrorism Department’s (CTD) custody.

Many youths lose their lives due to alleged pressure, threats, and blackmail by the Pakistani forces. Sources state that “people who participate in protests or raise their voices against injustices by the state, face threats from armed forces and intelligence agencies that lead them to take such actions.”
