An assault in Mastung, Balochistan, on Sunday, left at least one Pakistani soldier dead and three wounded. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a group advocating for the independence of Balochistan, has taken responsibility for the offensive.
In a statement to the media, the BLA reported that their combatants targeted a Pakistani security forces’ convoy comprising three vehicles. The ambush occurred as the forces were surveying a location previously hit by an explosion. Utilizing grenade launchers and additional heavy arms, the BLA’s attack resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to three others.
The BLA reiterated its promise to continue such attacks until the Pakistani army is expelled from Balochistan.
