Eight people were injured in an explosion caused due to gas leakage in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan on Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, explosion occurred due to gas leakage in a house in Sabzal Road area, resulting in burn injuries to eight people present in the house. All the victims belong to same family.
As per sources, the injured were taken to the Civil Hospital with ambulances, where they are being provided medical treatment in the emergency burn ward.
It pertains to mention that incident due to gas leakage and explosions are happening almost on daily basis during the winter season. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has been observing scheduled and unscheduled load shedding in various parts of Balochistan. Gas leakage and unannounced load shedding have claimed scores of human lives in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
