Iranian forces reportedly took two individuals forcibly from Kasarkand, while another lost his life in a firing incident in Iranshahr of Western(Iranian-administrated) Balochistan.
According to reports, Muhammad Raiisi, son of Jandoor and a resident of Kasarkand, along with Benyamin Chakiri, son of Gul Muhammad and hailing from Chahbahar, were abducted by Iranian forces while en route to Kasarkand.
Meanwhile, in another incident, an unidentified group of gunmen claimed the life of Shairyar Amini, son of Abdul Salam, a resident of Iranshahr. The incident unfolded during Shairyar’s visit to Daman, Iranshahr, accompanied by his friends. Amidst the firing, another local resident also sustained injuries.
Sources within the region have raised serious concerns about the rising tide of abductions, considering them an unsettling “new normal” in Western Balochistan. Accusations have been directed towards the Iranian state authorities, alleging their involvement in arming individuals, a practice that has contributed to an escalation of individual and tribal conflicts.
