Four Baloch students were ‘forcibly disappeared’ around midnight Tuesday from Balochistan’s capital city of Quetta.
According to sources, Four Baloch students allegedly disappeared during a house raid conducted by Pakistani Security forces in Essa Nagri area of the city. The missing students have been identified as 17-year-old Kambar Lal Baloch, Waheed Sakhi, Rahmatullah, and Murad Jan. The students were preparing for the entry test for medical college in Quetta.
Shayhaq Baloch, brother of the missing Kambar Baloch confirmed the incident in a tweet saying “My younger brother Kambar Baloch, his roommates Waheed Sakhi, Rahmatulla and Murad Jan are Fsc premedical students were illegally abducted by LEA [law-enforcement agencies] in Essa Negri Quetta last night”.
Mr. Shayhaq Baloch also said that Police refused to file their report.
Several activists and social media users criticized the incident on Twitter. Later on Tuesday evening, three of the four students were released while one remains missing. Shayhaq Baloch also confirmed in a tweet that his brother Kambar and this two other roommates Murad Jan and Rahmatullah were released while the fourth abductee named Waheed Sakhi remains missing.
