A blast occurred in Jahadia seminary during afternoon prayers on Wednesday in Aybak city of Afghanistan’s Samangan province.

Samangan’s department of Information and Culture confirmed that 19 people had died and more than 20 people were wounded.

Earlier, a provincial hospital doctor told the local media that at least 15 dead and 27 wounded are at the hospital.

According to provincial officials, the blast occurred during the afternoon prayers.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast yet. It should be noted that in the last few months, Daesh (IS) has carried out several attacks in Afghanistan, which have claimed hundreds of lives of innocent civilians.
