At least five people lost died and three others were seriously injured when their vehicle was swept away in floods in Sibi district of Balochistan on Sunday. 

According to Levies sources, women and children are also among the flood victims.

Sibi and surrounding areas have received torrential rains within the last 24 hours. Heavy rainfall has severely affected life in the district. The victims were going to go to Ku Mandai, a sub-tehsil in the Sibi district when the incident happened.

Local residents of the area reached the spot and rescued three people in injured condition. However, the dead bodies were retrieved after two hours of hectic efforts by the locals.

Meanwhile, Aishani Badiani Dam in Barkhan overflowed, vehicles sank due to accumulation of rain water in Dera Bugti market while power supply in the area has been completely disrupted for four days.

Musa Khail is flooded after rains, the streets of Barkhan are submerged in water while the citizens are facing problems due to the rapid flow of water.

While, the Kohlu, Quetta and Dera Bugti highways have been closed due to the flooding of the Sonari Bridge.
