After the University of Balochistan, Baloch students in the Bolan Medical College, Degree College Sariyab, Polytechnic College and the Science College have also suspended all of their academic activities in protest against the disappearance of their fellow students from Balochistan University.

The students are demanding the safe release of Sohail and Fasih Baloch, students at the Balochistan University who were allegedly detained by the Pakistani forces with the help of the university administrations.

Baloch student activists, leaders and organizations have been protesting for the recovery of their fellow students for the past week. During a press conference on Wednesday, the student leaders said that such flagrant acts of barbarity are designed to impede the education of the Baloch students. They said that the university administration is also complicit in the disappearance of the two students.

Under pressure from the students, the university administration suspended all the academic activities starting from November 10. In the official notification issued by the administration, it was said that the university is being closed due to some issues, but did not specify what these issues were.

Emboldened by the success of the protests at Balochistan University, Baloch students at other academic institutions also suspended their academic activities in protest. They also demand the safe release of the missing students from the University of Balochistan.
