Two people have been killed while four others abducted during a military operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan. The operation by Pakistani military in the area entered its third day on Saturday.

According to sources, forces have besieged the Mir Shahoo Bazar, Bakshi Bazar and Sheikh Haroon Bazar. Women and children have been reportedly beaten up during the operation. Whereas, new checkpoints have also been established in the area.

During the operation four men named Rehmat s/of Ahmed, Moosa s/of Mohammad, Hasil Khan s/of Ahmed Essa and Bakshi s/of Deedar were allegedly arrested and moved to an unknown location by security forces.

Two people were allegedly killed in the operation by Pakistani forces. The deceased have been identified as Bola s/o Maula Balsh and Assa s/o Maaru.

So far no official statement has been made regarding the operation. On the other hand the locals have expressed concerns over the increase of enforced disappearance cases.

It is to be noted that Pakistani forces were allegedly involved in the past in extra Judicially killings of previously abducted missing persons during military operations.

In December last year forces allegedly killed seven innocent people in fake encounters during a military operation in Kolwah and Kelkaor region of Balochistan.
