Two missing persons, including the son of a revolutionary singer, have returned home more than two years after their disappearance. Bilal Ahmed, son of famous Baloch singer Mir Ahmed Baloch, and Zakaria Mengal were released on Friday.

Bilal Ahmed was abducted allegedly by the security forces on 31st of August 2018, from Zangi Nawad picnic point of Noshki along with his friends.

Similarly Zakria Mengal was abducted allegedly by the security forces in September 2018 from Quetta city of Balochistan. Zakria Mengal was a student and was teaching in an English language centre in Noshki City at the time of his disappearance.

It is to be noted that two other Baloch youths named Sami Baloch and Abdul Rab who went missing along with Bilal were released a day before Bilal’s appearance on Thursday.

Whereas some other victims who were picked along with Bilal Ahmed still remain missing.

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group working for the recovery of Baloch missing persons, has confirmed the recovery of Bilal Ahmed and Zakria Mengal.

According to the VBMP, on one hand state forces are releasing a small number of previously abducted people but the number of new abductions in Balochistan are rising at a much higher pace.
