Angry mob burt a vehicle and one person was injured in firing during by-poll elections in Killi Karbala town of Pishin, Balochistan.

According to the Police, some unidentified armed men opened fire and injured one person in Killi Karbala. Whereas, an angry mob also burnt a vehicle at PB 20 polling station in the same town of the district.

“Eyewitnesses said the supporters of Balochistan Awami Party candidate Asmatullah Tareen and independent candidate Amruddin Agha clashed outside the polling station”, Police told media.

Vote counting started at 5 pm after the expiry of timing. According to the initial results of 5 polling stations, JUI (F) candidate Azizullah Agha, backed by the anti-government alliance appears to be strong.

It is to mention that the seat fell vacant in 2020 after the death of Mohd Fazal Agha, a JUI (F) legislator. The election commission had announced by-polls on February 16.
