The National Accountability Bureau of Pakistan has filed a reference against the former Chief Minister of Balochistan Aslam Raisani, his brother Lashkari Raisani and 8 others on the accusation of the embezzlement of millions of rupees from the treasury of Balochistan.
According to details, the Bureau, via the discretion of its chair Justice Javed Iqbal, filed the reference against the aforesaid persons in Quetta’s Accountability Court for reportedly embezzling 817 million rupees from the treasury of Balochistan.
Per the reference, the NAB alleged that the former chief minister of Balochistan and his associates misemployed their authority to deliver financial gains to their families and friends.
The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday disclosed the details of Aslam Raisani’s assets, which totalled to a whopping 21 billion rupees. According to the ECP figures, the former chief minister owns agricultural land worth Rs19 million, a residential plot worth Rs1.796 billion and a car collection worth well above Rs3 billion. He also owns cattle, worth Rs230 million and Rs513 million in bank deposits. He also owns Rs1.7 billion worth of properties in Malta.
