According to details, the military operation in Jhao, which had been going on for several days now, has been further expanded and a large number of Pakistani troops have entered the vast mountain range of Surgar from multiple directions.
As per sources Pakistani military conducted ‘offensives’ in hilly areas of Jhao, in which Gunship helicopters heavily shelled several areas whereas commandos were reportedly abseiled down from the choppers.
The whole area has also been cordoned off, making it difficult to ascertain the losses of lives and properties.
Surgar is a vast mountain range between Jhao, Ormara, Lasbela, Urnach where military operations have been going on since many years.
Military operations in Balochistan have recently escalated dramatically forcing locals to abandon their villages and flee the locations.
Such operations in Balochistan are not uncommon. During last two decades, forces have carried out several such military operations in different parts of Balochistan. Whereas, Baloch activists have been claiming that during these military operations, forces mostly targets civilians and force them to settle in the vicinity of military camps and outposts in the low-lying areas.
