Mama Qadeer Baloch, the vice-chairman of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, said that the state-backed death squads have spilt the blood of the Baloch in several areas of Balochistan in August. He said that dozens have been shot down. “Death squads have been formulated and licensed for carrying out carnage in Balochistan”, he said.

The VBMP protest completed its 4075th day on Sunday. Israr Baloch, the general secretary of the Baloch Student Organization, and several others visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the families of the Baloch missing persons.

Talking to the delegation, Mama Qadeer said that the Baloch have been, and still are, a historically interspersed nation. Due to the remoteness and the scant connectivity, it is not possible to deliver assistance in the wake of ‘bloody military operations’ and their resulting ‘cruelty and barbarity.’

He said that devastating military operations have been carried out in Gichk and Awaran; the Pakistani forces and their abetting death squads have spilt the blood of the Baloch sons and dishonoured the woman. He said that the said operations have expanded to Parom and Panjgur. The woman and elderly are harassed and beaten, he added.

Mama Qadeer said that the Baloch women have played a practical role in the Baloch struggle. No obstacle can deter the peaceful Baloch struggle, he said.
