The high-speed vehicle of the Pakistan Coast Guards ran over bike-riders in Uthal city of Lasbela district, killing a woman, her three-year-old son and three others. Five others were wounded in the incident.
According to details, the vehicle ran over three bikes in Uthal, killing five. The dead were identified as Noor Muhammad s/o Abu Aachra, Azeem Ullah s/o Muhammad Hashim, Ghulam Muhammad s/o Shafi Muhammad, the wife of Ghulam Muhammad and her three-year-old son, Ghulam Rasool, while Jumma Khan, Shehzad s/o Farooq, Imtiaz s/o Zulfiqar Ali, Afzal s/o Muhammad Yar and Abdul Ghafoor s/o Allah Baksh were critically wounded in the incident.
The Edhi Ambulance immediately reached the spot and moved the dead and the wounded to the district headquarter hospital in Uthal. The dead bodies were handed over to their families and the wounded were shifted to Karachi for further treatment.
Eyewitnesses allege that the high-speed Guards’ vehicle ran over the bike-riders, whereas the Uthal police said that investigation is underway.
In another incident in Turbat, the forces’ vehicle ran over a bike near Turbat International Airport. Sarshaar s/o Abdul Rauf, a youth, was critically wounded in the incident.
