According to reports received by The Balochistan Post News Desk, an incident of sexual assault took place with a 12-year-old boy named Azhar Ali in Mashkay area of Awaran district, in Balochistan.
According to Mashkay police, Azhar Ali son of Asghar Ali of Mashkay Alangi was on his way home after tuition in Gajjar town on Wednesday, when a man forcefully took him away. The boy afterwards informed the family about the incident.
Police have registered an FIR against Eid Mohammad Alias Peero son of Karim Dad, at the request of Azhar Ali’s father Asghar Ali.
Abdullah Abbas Baloch, spokesman for the Human Rights Commission of Balochistan (HRCB) has condemned the incident on Twitter, saying that the accused involved in the child molestation is affiliated with a ‘state death squad’.
Abdullah Abbas Baloch added that a man named Eid Muhammad was helping the state in drug trafficking and kidnapping of Baloch youth in the area, in return they are given free rein by the military.
According to reports, armed gangs known locally as death squads, are active in various areas of Balochistan. Baloch political and social circles claim that the above mentioned armed gangs are backed by the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies. Political forces also claim that death squad groups are given free hand by the state to counter the Baloch insurgency and due to such a luxury these gangs are involved in various crimes.
However, Mashaky police has registered a ‘FIR’ NO: 03/2020 U / S 377tp and started searching for the accused.
