According to the information received by TBP News Desk, unidentified armed men targeted oil and gas company personnel in Kahan area of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
As per the repots, On Tuesday the second attack was on Pakistani army’s patrolling team, carried out by militants in Margat area of Bolan, which resulted in the loss of life and property to the forces.
Balochistan is home to a long-running insurgency by ‘pro-freedom armed organisations’. Skirmishes between these organisations and Pakistani forces is a common occurrence in the region. Baloch militants have been targeting several government projects including CPEC, construction and oil and gas exploration companies over the past two decades.
Responsibility of the two aforementioned attacks were later claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army, or BLA.
The spokesman for BLA, Jeeyand Baloch said that infantrymen of an oil and gas company were attacked in the Rastri area of Kahan while they were conducting a survey in the area. The bomb attack resulted in killing two. Whereas, the second attack was carried out in Margat, where BLA fighters targeted a patrolling vehicle of Pakistani army with an IED. The blast resulted in killing one soldier and injuring two while damaging the vehicle.
The BLA spokesperson vows that “no exploitation project in Balochistan will be allowed and attacks on the occupying forces will continue”.
Whereas, the Pakistan military officials have not commented regarding the attacks.
