According to a statement issued by Dr. Rahim Khan Babar, a spokesman for the Young Doctors Association Balochistan, recent reports of two doctors tested positive with corona-virus have been kept at Sheikh Zayed Hospital and Home Isolation. Even after the exposed virus cases in doctors, the incompetent and apathetic government has not provided personal protective equipment, disposable gloves and masks in the hospitals of the province.
The spokesman said that in the deserted and ruined health units of the province, doctors and paramedical staff are still serving the people of this province without any personal protection.
The spokesman said that for the past 20 days, the doctors and paramedical staff of the Quarantine Centers should be immediately screened and replaced by issuing direct orders of the Contracting Doctors under the executive orders of the Chief Minister Balochistan.
The spokesperson explained that the present Secretary and Special Secretary Health have completely failed to control the current emergency situation and provide facilities to the tertiary care hospitals of the province. Therefore, the Chief Minister Balochistan should take serious notice of the situation by personally visiting the hospitals and take practical measures against the helplessness of the doctors and paramedical staff on duty and the incompetence of the Health Department.
Whereas, in another news a patient died today at GDA hospital in Gwadar during the treatment for suspected corona virus.
All the symptoms of the Corona virus were found in the hospitalized person last night. Doctors have also sent blood samples of the deceased patient for the test, which has not yet been received by the hospital administration.
