Protests for ‘Missing persons’ are sharpening again in Balochistan
Families of the missing persons are again joining together in protests from all over the Balochistan.
Campaign for the release of Baloch Missing Persons has recently once again gained momentum after emotional pictures of Seema Baloch and Zarina Baloch, sister and wife of Missing Shabir Baloch, a student leader circulated on social media two weeks ago.
VBMP’s campaign has entered in its 10th year and has carried out massive rallies twice in this month, which was joined by prominent politicians, activists, Baloch and Pashtun students.
Family of missing Khair Bakhsh Joined ‘Voice for Baloch Missing Persons’ (VBMP) camp at Quetta on Tuesday and some others in previous days.
Whereas today more families have released statements and held press conferences appealing human rights organizations and UN to take action in this regard.
Family of Ghafar Baloch has stated that he is missing for 9 years and family claims that Pakistani paramilitary forces Frontier Corps (FC) abducted Ghafar, in December 2009 from Khuzdar district if Balochistan.
Another sister from Khuzdar has appealed the UN and Human Rights organizations to play their role in the safe recovery of her brother Kabeer Baloch, who was abducted on 27 March of 2009 from Khuzdar along with two other youth, Mushtaq and Attaullah Baloch.
Changaiz Baloch’s family has also expressed their misery and pain in a statement as it has been four years now they do not know of his whereabouts.
Today the families of missing Naseer Khan and Imdad-Ullah also mentioned that their loved ones are still missing and alike other families they also consider Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies responsible for such acts.
Pakistan army denies the allegations.
