Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released video footage of attack in which multiple outposts of Pakistani military had fallen in Shahrag, Harnai in September 2018.

BLA released the video on Saturday on its website that went viral on social media very quickly.

In the 16 minutes long video, the BLA fighters can be seen launching a fierce attack on Pakistani outposts from different sides. The targeted Meshdari outpost in Shahrag is only 41miles away from Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

The attack, which was carried out on 18 September 2018, was one of the firsts in which the outpost had completely fallen to Baloch fighters. BLA’s spokesperson Jeehand Baloch had claimed the responsibility of the attack on 19th September.

Several hand grenades are hurled and multiple RPGs are fired at Pakistani installations in the video forcing the Pakistani personnel to abandon the camp and run for their life.

At one point a BLA fighter and a Pakistani personnel come face to face with only few meters of distance between them and fire volley of bullets at each other. The BLA fighter then launches straight into an area where Pakistani soldiers are hiding. BLA claims in the video that two Pakistani personnel were killed at that moment.

At least one dead body of a Pakistani personnel is shown in the video. BLA claims 4 Pakistani personnel were killed and several others were injured in the attack.

As Pakistani soldiers flee the camp, dozens of BLA fighters capture the place and seize weapons and other belongings of the Pakistani military. At the end of the video a large cache of weapons is shown, which includes mortar rounds, guns, boxes of bullets and Pakistani military uniforms. BLA claims in the video that the weapons were ‘confiscated’ from the Pakistani outposts.

BLA fighters also set ablaze the outposts before leaving the area.

According to sources, BLA, the oldest armed group of Balochistan, has reengineered its operations in last one year. It has since carried out many lethal attacks including a suicide attack on Chinese engineers in Dalbandeen. BLA also released a statement in August and said that it does not have any representatives in London, Europe or US anymore. BLA added in the statement that it has also completely disassociated itself from a particular ‘egoistic person and his tiny group’.

BLA demands ‘outright independence’ of Balochistan from what it calls ‘Pakistani occupation’.
